About me

Current Coaching Roles:

My name is Varney Dassin, and coaching is something I truly enjoy. I currently coach varsity football as an Offensive Coordinator, Wide Receivers Coach, and Defensive Backs Coach. I am also a Middle School Head Track and Field Coach and a Sport Performance Coach.

Athletic Background:

I grew up playing sports and was a three sport athlete in high school before playing college football at Hudson Valley Community College and East Stroudsburg University, where I earned my bachelor degree. I have been coaching varsity football for five years and have been a Head Track and Field Coach for four years.

Track Record and Achievements:

I am very competitive and love helping athletes push themselves and get better. I have been fortunate to help develop athletes who have gone on to compete at the college and professional levels. Winning the Penn Relays as a coach at Wissahickon Middle School is one of my proudest accomplishments.

My Philosophy:

For me, coaching is about more than just sports. I enjoy mentoring young athletes, building confidence, teaching discipline, and helping them become better people. I also find just as much fulfillment in helping non athletes reach their personal health and fitness goals. That is what makes this work so enjoyable.
